Christmas 2009

The month of December was a busy one!!!  It was filled with many gatherings and celebrations.  Toby was very excited about Christmas this year!  "Fuzzy" Santa's elf joined us for the first time this year right after Thanksgiving.  Toby enjoyed getting up every morning and finding where Fuzzy was hiding.  Last night he even said that he missed Fuzzy.  He is anxious for his return next November.
The first family gathering was the Cork Family Christmas at Carribean Cove.  The kids had so much fun getting to swim.  They were all ready to get out of the water though when someone mentioned Santa had arrived.  Scott got to be the Elf this year.  Toby thought that was hilarious!

Toby also enjoyed going to the Christmas puppet show at the Indiana State Museum.  Last year he didn't not get called to go on stage and has talked about it for an entire year.  This year he was picked!  As was Cousin Cassidy.  They didn't show Toby what he was supposed to do but he didn't care as long as he was on stage.

After the puppet show, we had lunch with Toby's at the tea room.

On top of Christmas activities, Toby got to enjoy playdates with his buddy Jaxcen and James and Hayden.  He has so much fun with his friends!!  (Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of that!)

Christmas Eve Toby enjoyed staying home and he got to open one present in the morning before daddy went to work.  He was so excited about his new digital camera that takes pictures and videos.  He spent most of the day making videos and cracking up at himself.  He has quite the sense of humor.  We picked daddy up for work and heading to Christmas with my family.  Our tradition for many years has been to have pizza at our favorite pizza place with the family and then back to Grandma Janie's and Papa Paul's for presents.  This year Great Grandma Faerene and Barry joined us!  As usual, Grandma Janie and Papa Paul spent way too much money on everyone.  Toby got lots of clothes and spy gear and Walkie Talkies!!! Toby and I started yelling when we opened our Wii!!!!!!  More than the presents though we enjoyed our time together as a family!!!  We love them so much!

After all the excitement at Grandma Janie's it was time to go home and prepare for Santa.  Toby was so worn out from all the excitement of the day that he fell asleep on the way home and woke up only to put his pajamas on.
Christmas morning was an exciting one!  The one thing he asked Santa for was the Scooby Doo Haunted House Game.  He was so excited to finally receive it and the McDonald's Drive Thru.

He also enjoyed opening his presents from mommy, daddy and Hoiberg.  After opening all his presents at home, it was time to head across the street to cousin Danny and Abby's house for Christmas with the Corks.  Toby was pretty tired already by this point and had sort of a melt down.  Luckily, we live close and Scott took him home to cool off.  He then enjoyed opening his presents where he got even more stuff!
Toby got a Knight Costume while Abby and Cassidy got Princess Costumes!

This year Toby got lots of dress up stuff!

It was another wonderful Christmas and we are truly blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people!

Thanksgiving ( I know I am posting this in January but it has been a busy couple of months)

We decided to head to Florida again this year for Thanksgiving. Although I really miss spending Thanksgiving with my family, I am enjoying the new tradition we are creating with Toby: Thanksgiving in Florida. With our busy work schedules we truly enjoy time away to enjoy family time together! When we went out to the beach Toby said, "this is amazing"! Scott's sister Sherri and her husband Ande were there as well but staying at the Sandpiper. Toby really enjoyed getting to do all the fun stuff at their hotel as well as our condo! We also got to watch the Colts game with them at BW-3s. Sherri, Toby, and I took a break from BW-3s and enjoyed some of the fun things offered at Pier Park.

We also bought him a wetsuit since it was pretty chilly so that he could enjoy both the beach and the little waterpark at our condo.

We also enjoyed the video game room at the condo! Especially the claw game when Uncle Ande won Toby a stuffed mouse (I wish I had a picture of that!)

Ma and Pop joined us on Wednesday and we went to everyone's favorite restaurant Shuckums for Thanksgiving.

We had so much fun in Florida that Toby asks every day when we are going back. We are all ready to go again!!!!!!

A Very Fun Saturday and then a Sick little boy!

This past Saturday was another exciting one for Toby. His day started with Lil Kickers with his buddy Jaxcen. After soccer, we always go to Blockbuster or as Toby calls it "the yellow and blue store." He enjoys coming home after soccer and relaxing by watching a movie. Toby and I then joined the "Cork Cousins" for "Jack and the Beanstalk" at Beef and Boards. Toby couldn't wait to tell dad everything about the giant. After a quick nap, it was then time for what Toby had been waiting on all week Jaxcen's birthday party. The party was at Monster Mini Golf in Avon. What a neat place!!! Toby LOVED it!!! He couldn't stop jumping and dancing around because he was so excited. Once we got him home and put his pajamas on him, he felt warm. I took his temp. and he had a low grade fever. I felt horrible as I never would have taken him to "Jack and the Beanstalk" or the party had I known he was sick. He sure didn't act sick!!! Hopefully this sickness will go away soon and we can get back to the usual excitement!!!!

Great Wolf Lodge 2009

The Cork Family recently had a much needed trip to Great Wolf Lodge. We had such a great time! Just wish we could have stayed longer!!!! I am amazed at the lack of fear in our son. He started out on the little water slides but quickly made his way to the big ones which were his favorite! He also loved the wave pool!

He also loved his "house" as he called his Kid Kamp room!

He loved wearing his Scooby Doo costume to trick-or-treat!

He also enjoyed giving Wiley a hug and high five after storytime!

Birthday Week!!!

What a week Toby had! It started last Saturday when Grandma Janie, Great-Grandma Faerene and Uncle Barry came over. Grandma Janie brought Toby the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine for his birthday! "It's just what I have always wanted", he said!

Then Ma came over and he got another present!!!! The Imaginext Space Station and Imaginext Spider Vehicle! He had so much fun playing with his new toys!!!

Monday night was tumbling class which he loves! He is always so happy to see his buddy Jaxcen at tumbling!

Tuesday night was his big Chuckee Cheese birthday party! Toby had so much fun and loved all his presents!!!!

Wednesday we stayed home the first half of the day to recover from the party. Toby enjoyed playing with all his new toys all morning! Late afternoon we met cousin Cassidy at Fundamentals by Wright for open gym! Toby and Cassidy had so much fun showing each other what they could do. Cassidy taught Toby how to do a forward flip on the bars! Toby was exhausted after open gym!
Thursday Toby took Monsters vs. Aliens to preschool for all his friends!
Friday we surprised him and took him to Kings Island for his birthday! We didn't tell him until we were pulling into the parking lot! Toby was soooo excited! His favorite ride was the Scooby Doo Haunted House. (or as Toby called it the Scooby Doo Haunted Man House) We rode the Scooby Doo ride 10 times!!
He insisted on sitting in the #4 swing on the Backyardigans swing since he was turning 4!

He rode the Little Bill Giggle Coaster first with Dad!

And Plankton's Plunge with mom!

And the train with Mom and Dad!

Toby met a little girl friend named Caylie. After he met her he wanted to ride every ride she wanted to ride! They were cute together!

A video of his huge smile on Swiper's Sweeper! He loved it!

The Obstacle Course

Toby had his buddy Jaxcen over today. They played inside for a little bit with Toby's toys and on the slide on Toby's bed. Toby and Jaxcen then rode in the bike trailer with Scott pulling them down the street to Aunt Sandy and Uncle Todd's house to play on the inflatable obstacle course. Watching them was a blast. I finally decided to join them for a few times down the slide!!! Boy is it fun to be a kid!

An Eventful Week

Toby started a new tumbling class on Monday. He is in a boy class at Fundamentals by Wright. He really enjoyed it and loved that Coach Randy told him he had a "killer handstand"! Along with the class each week they have free time where you can come in a second time and play. We took him today for the "Funtime". And boy did he have fun!!!!

(I tried to add another video of Toby on the Monkey Bars dropping on the ball pit but it wouldn't upload. It is on my Facebook page though)

Toby also started preschool this week. He loved being in the "Big boy class"! He also liked his new teachers! He talked the entire way home after I picked him up. He couldn't stop telling me about all the fun things he did at school. Wednesday we enjoyed a few hours at the Children's Museum. We had so much fun! Thursday night he had tumbling class where he has gone since he was a little little guy. (He has another week left there) We weren't sure how he would act this week as he was so tired but he ended up doing a pretty good job of listening. He always enjoys seeing his buddy Jaxcen at tumbling. He is very excited that Jaxcen is coming over to play with him Sunday! He had a blast last Sunday at Jaxcen's house!!!
